Ok so here it goes, tried too salvage my OEM radio harness by cliping one from a junkyard and then resplicing it back together and using tape *(yeah, about that) I've screwed it up even more, how do I just remove the entire radio harness, (The factory stuff with the tape around it, not aftermarket stuff such as schoche etc..going to be purchasing something in a couple of weeks and I have to ride with no music till then which really sucks but I can live with it...thank you to anyone that replies...

I am not sure, but I suspect that behind the plug, those wires are going directly to speakers and power. Can I ask why you think its "Screwed up"? Maybe you just blew a fuse. I can only go by my truck but it has a 15 amp and a 20 amp fuse required for the radio to come on. It seems to me an long as you can isolate the power wires (constant, switched and ground), the rest you can figure out just using a small battery to determine which wire goes to which speaker.

edit having someone remove the entire harness and replacing it with another how do you take it out???

You can't really. It would involve removing the dash and door panels as that wiring runs directly to all of the doors and is also tied into the vehicle power system as well as other systems depending on what kind of system it has. How is it messed up?

...so exactly what is the problem with your wires? If you didn't do a very good job splicing the wires before putting the tape on, just clip the wires a little and start over, or if you don't feel comfortable doing it, get someone experienced to do it. I personally would solider the wires before taping or use those quick-connect sleeves.

yea i'll probably just pull it back apart and have someone else do it but I would be more comfortable just obtaining a good working entire harness from somewhere like a salvage yard or something... you know just so it would be factory fresh again...

Kyle, do you need the factory harnesses? I am going to the yard tomorrow and can probably get them for you. All you would have to do it trim back, match up wires, and put it back together.

The Ex I'm hunting after had everything in it yet- radio too...

if you could pull out the entire harness that would be great...

if someone there knows how to remove the dashboard that would be great but i'm really looking for the entire piece not just a clipped one like I already tried I can pay you whatever getting tax returns back in a couple of weeks...also I think you have to get the door panels off too...(i mean the whole entire thing...and I would be satisfied...thanx for the man...)

I'll have to see if the '97 I got my interior out of is do-able. I can't guarantee a whole harness- that's like tearing it out of the whole car, and it's wrapped to the main harness! What the heck happened to your harness?!?! I thought you lust needed the ends for the radio to either plug into a head unit or plug into a set of adapters for an aftermarket?

i'm not sure what happened to it i guess i just got nervous while doing it and now i'm gone pull it back apart and get a guy to solder i suppose think i may have clipped some a lil too short :( but i'll let you know after what he says

can someone please tell me? i have to ride with no radio for like another month...

anyone out there to answer this question? will that P100-T100 harness replace all of my factory stereo wiring?

my god please help now none of my interior lights work at night only the temp up top and if the O/D is off (orange light) it will only show up in park...wtf distress call not sure if I completely shorted out my electrical interior or what taking it somewhere tomorrow...
