i dont know what i want to do i want to lift it but it isnt cheap? i have $2500 to spend what do you think i should do

I have a 91 Explorer with the same exhaust. You need to do your lift based on your demands. I use my Explorer occasionally to get off road, tow my boat to the lake and drive into Phoenix, ( a lot). I found a decent system as I am not into rock breaking, but wanted to replace my springs, idler, and bushings. My kit does this with the addition of the radius and axle pivot pushings as an additional purchase. But the springs, frt and rear, are new and the shocks. 4" lift too. I got it from Rocky Mountain Suspension and it cost me $720.00 with the pivot bushings and shipping. If you want to get more serious, I suggest Skyjacker, or there are a couple of companies that do full blown kits with everything you could want. Rocky Mountain carries these as well and I searched around quite a bit and found that they had the best prices. If you only want to go 2.5", try James Duff Enterprises. They have kits from 460.00 to about 1700.00, depending on the stage of the kit. Hope this helps.

Lifting a 91 is fairly cheap. It just depends on how much you want to go. For a small lift you can go cheap, and get some f-150 coil spacers I believe. In the rear you can add shackles. But any oversize tires will hurt your 1/4, and "awesome burnout" ability. And if you have an automatic any added power will strain a weak tranny even more. At the very least I'd add a cooler.
