I went out for school this morning and I find that my right rear tire is completely flat. I have it jacked up to where the tire is completely off the ground, I have all the lug nuts off, but the rim will not budge off the axle, no matter how hard I pull. WHAT IS HOLDING THE TIRE ON THERE?!

THANKS.

Nothing...there may be some rust in the middle hole that
may be holding it up. Hit it hard!!

rather than pulling...try pushing it at the top, inward.

Ok, after some very hard hits I got the sucker off. Thanks for your help.

thats why you gotta carry your BFH with you at all times! :) (Big friggin hammer!)

usefull tricks

leave lugs a little loose and try to move vehicle back and foth a couple times most of the time this will break it loose

other way would be to hit rim with 4x4 block of wood it wont dent or scratch alloy rims life a hammer will

after almost beating my arm off once, I realized the parking brake was on......those things hold pretty good :D

i dont know why the e brake would have anything to do with getting a wheel off

For future reference, just let the jack back down a little with the lugs off. Just until you put slight pressure on the tire, using the weight of the car will usually unseat it a bit, then raise it back up and try again. Just go real slow and stay away from the tire and don't lower the jack so much that all the pressure is back on the tire. I has worked for me several times when I don't have anything to bang it with.
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I carry a slegde hammer and a normal hammer in the CJ... seriously

Usually I have to loan them out at least once on every trail ride.
