I found a Gibson Exhaust for a Sport Trac - do ya'll think it would fit my X Sport? I know the tail pipe might be too long or something, but I don't mind cutting it off or modding it somehow...thoughts?

Thanks

just get a custom setup made at a local muffler shop

I know I could take it to a muffler shop and have them weld up a Flowmaster Series 40 / 50, but I found a very cheap Gibson exhaust that might just bolt up without having to get a bunch of junk welded under my car.

Ask Black Magic cause he has one, but I think its the same for Sport Trac and Sports. Especially if it exits behind rear pass tire.

I have the GIBSON Cat-Back Single 2 1/2inch Aluminized Steel Cat Back Exhaust System

Note: Fits 2 Door Models Only
Note: Fits With Single Inlet Muffler With Flange Only (SOHC)

I wouldn't get something for a Sport trac. I don't think it would fit at all really. I bought mine form http://www.truckperformance.com

Go here. Then the second one down,

figured Matt would have the scoop;)

thats not a bad price on the SS setup:eek:

I found one for about $150 and I was hoping it would bolt up, but not come out the back in the correct spot and I could just cut it off and dump it...It was just a thought, but since ya'll don't think it will work I'll just stick with the series 40 or 50 (which one is pretty quiet and deep?

Thanks again guys

Info on here is that the 40 series is louder and will create a drone at certain RPM's. 50 is much more tolerable.

you dont need any muffler :) j/k if you want somethin with a little sound to it go with the 50. a friend has one on his chevy, not loud at all, only noticable if he really gets on it. the 40 is going to be louder of the 2.

and a shop should be able to put somethin together for not too much, mine ran 200 out the door for cat back, all mandrel bent tubing and dynomax super turbo muffler
