What is the performance difference between Gibson Superflow 2.5" in/out vs. Magnaflow XL turbo 2.5" in/out mufflers??

I was doing some pricing:
Gibson Superflow 2.5"
- ~$150
-Lifetime warrenty
- baffled/chambered/louvered
- Stainless Steel

Magnaflow XL Turbo 2.5"
- ~$50
- 6 year warrenty
- baffled/chambered/louvered
-Stainless steel

Is Gibson worth that extra ~$100?

i would go with the magnaflow, i have one and a bunch of other peeps on this forum do and i havent heard anything out of the ordinary about there products, in the end it all comes down to which one you think sounds the best....

magnaflow is designed for the hp gains being in the upper rpm range, where as the gibson is designed for low to midrange rpm, hp and torque gains. So it really just depends on where in the rpm band that you want or need the extra power

The design of the 2 mufflers are similar. And I'm trying to get some low to midrange rpm. Thats why I decided to go with a chambered design instead of a stright thur design. Also, I'm assuming that the chambered design creates more backpressure which in turn increases torque and low end power

Try the Edelbrock SDT mufflers. I'm after the quietest performance muffler, and most mufflers are louder than they are quiet(poor descriptions). Most all straight through mufflers are the same, they have a straight pipe with encroaching perforations in them, with some packing material around it. I have Borlas like that, I want to try something different. The Edelbrock SDT sounds interesting. Good luck,
