I recently purchased an 06 Mercury Mountaineer, and I love it! I got a great deal on it, and have been somewhat fanatical about maintaining it. I live in eastern Idaho, and am studying to become a Mechanical/Welding Engineer at BYU-Idaho. For Maintenance on my 4.0 SOHC AWD, I use Royal Purple 5W-30, with X-tra Lube as an additive(Bell Performance), while using the Bosch Distance Plus(10 Microns @ 99.9% efficiency). I also will be switching out all transmission, differential, and transfer case fluids with RP lubricants with the X-tra Lube as an additive.
I'm origianally from Salt Lake City, UT... and my family and I have bounced around from state to state growing up. I went to High School in Modesto, CA... after graduating I spend 2 years in southern Brazil, as a missionary for the LDS church. I love cars and I'm ready to learn more!!
