Thats torture Tom, FYI: if you hop on Varner rd. it runs parallel with the 10 from Indio to Palm Springs, it might alleviate some of the freeway drive for ya but not much. I believe you hop on Varner at Jefferson st. and you can take it all the way down to Indian dr. in Palm Springs. There's long stretches between the lights so it's not too bad.
Not only is Glamis overcrowded, its dangerous. I would never go out there on a holidy weekend. I'm going to Truckhaven where I can wheel. All a 4X4 can do at Glamis is dig holes in the sand.
I was plannin on being in Glamis for T-day, but don't think the truck will be ready for any whoops yet...Definitely wouldn't wanna take my rig out there without 4x4 either...I don't like gettin stuck Thanksgiving at Glamis is crowded as hell, but also a whole lotta fun!!! Be careful out there, lots of people get hurt.
