goin on my 4th transmission!!!!

i am now on my fourth trans in my 02 mounty, has anyone else had this problem? its at 136k. i do not tow with it, and i am only runnin 265/75/16s.
i had just got it back from the ford dealer 2 weeks ago and on my way to work today, it started the flashing OD and check tranny lights, and stopped moving.
i dont know what to do.

where are you gettin these new tranny's, cuz whoever its from sounds like they they are givin you crap!
find a good tranny shop and have them built it right, make sure they give you insurance too, for at least 50k, if not, switch shops.

i agree i think you are getting crap trannys. i have close to 100k on my tranny with a pretty good amount of towing and still no issues.

4 trannys is just outrageous! If you had the work done at the dealership they should stand behind their work. If it's been replaced 3 times, either someone is rebuilding a tranny that needs to be replaced, or they have no idea what they are doing.

Are you ging with new or used trannies? I personally would never put a used tranny on one of these.

Sounds to me they are not really fixing your problem, just enough for you to go so long before another problem. Mine lasted until 106,000 and then I decided to get it fixed. Not exactly happy with it, but it is better. If you trade in, the newer the better

yeah they have a nice 05 f-150 cab and a half i tihnk i may get that. only 40k on it!

What kinds, used, rebuilt by the shop, ford remans? Any idea what they did?
Same case? By the sounds of it they never did a Full Rebuild but tried to fix whats wrong at the time. Just a guess?
