Hey guys, I have this thread out on the "Modified Explorations" page looking for a good exhaust shop in West LA. So far it's been over a week and not a single reply. I have greater hopes for car audio though. So, if anyone knows of some really good car audio specialists located in the West Los Angeles area please let me know. I'm looking to upgrade my stock system with a new HU and new speakers in all four doors. Thanks for any info you can provide.

Also, I have this really annoying buzz from my passenger side door that can be stopped by putting some pressure on it. Will dynomatting the interior of the door panel when I get the new speakers installed help eliminate this in the future?

There are a few good ones in the LA area. Speakerworks in Orange is one of the best in the country. I would check them out.

There are... but that doesn't mean they are all good. Afterall, "It's LA"

Yeah man there is lots, also what do you mean by good. Take it to West Coast Customs, they do the audio for the stars so i'm sure they can take care of your ride. Just don't let them pimp you. :nono:

Yeah right... you have any idea what a shop like that charges for labor. I just need some competent knowledgeable guys who can install door speakers and a new HU. I will not be going to WCC unless I have as much money as Xzibit so that I can actually "pimp my ride"

bah, xhibits ride sucks anyways

i'm not joking either

Not sure how close you are, but some of the more "known", though, I don't like stereo shops in the first place, are, Al & Eds Autosound, SoundWaves, PowerStation, some of the few over here in the valley. I'd recommened SoundWaves over here on Mason/Vanowen, just south of Chatsworth/Porter Ranch area. The owner is extremely cool.

If all you want are some door speakers and a headunit, why don't you just go to places like Best Buy, The Good Guys or Circuit City. That stuff is easy to do, even I can do that stuff and I know nothing about audio. I installed my speakers and headunit with no problem. :chug:
