New to the electronics of my explorer. I've got a pioneer stereo system picked out. My 6change cd player crapped out for some reason and I was looking for new speakers to replace the factory speakers I have now. Which work when they feel like it. I was looking for some being the $50-$100 per speaker range. Let me know which ones are good for those prices. I need 4:::: 6X8 inch speakers. thanx!!!:D

Sony Xplods from Walmart. Bout $90 for 4. They're decent.

So you are looking for speakers & not subs? Your title said said subs.

Pioneer makes some really good 2-way and 3-way 6x8's.

The 2-ways are great if you want to power them with a head unit, the 3-ways are good for moderate power from an amp.

yea after i made it i realized that it was wrong. sorry for any confusion :dunno:

and thanx for the link and the info!

thats what worried me the most. the bass. because i want to get a sub but i don't want to compromise space in my truck. i want a very bass heavy sound system.

If you are looking for bass and don't want to take up a lot of space, the best thing we have is the Sound Ordnance B-8PT. Its actually small enough to fit under the front seat. Right now we have a free amp kit until the end of the year.

wow. thats pretty cool. il deff check it out. thanks for the link!
