Ok, i tried searching for this but to no avail. I'm trying to figure out where the normal position of the temp. gauge in a 95 OHV would be. I keep hearing people talking about the 91-94 models, but didn't see anything about the 95+ ones.
During the winter months, the needle hardly moves, and now when it's about 55-70F out there, it's always just about the Cold mark. Is there something wrong with the thermostat? I'm going to flush my coolant really soon, so i thought i'd replace the thermostat while i'm at it. Oh.....should i get a 195 degree? I'm way up north, and the summer temps here don't go beyond 80F.

I had the same problem. It was a bad thermostat. Easy fix.

You need a new thermostat. Your thermostat is stuck open. In my '96, the needle is in the middle when the engine is warmed up. Mine did that also before the thermostat was replaced. The needle never went past the C line. You need a 195 degree thermostat so the engine computer will do the right thing. Mine is not exactly a '95 but the '95's and the '96's are the same.

Hmmmmm....okay....thanks guys. I think after 200,100kms....it's about time.
