Got my 5.5" lift!!! any suggestions?

Ok, I finally got my 5.5" Superlift!!! YAHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

now that i got that out of my system...do any of you have any suggestions on making the install go any smoother? anything to make it perform better? any help would be great!!! thanx a lot!!

Air tools!!
Did you get the extended radius arms??
If so, if you have a air cutting wheel, cut a X in the rivets and then use a air chisel to cut them off.
Have two jacks, one for each side.

my 2 cents..

spray every single bolt in the rear/front end with pentrating oil, NOW.

Do it again 24hrs before you start the work.

Drive it around.

This will make a world of difference in how it comes apart.

2 jacks? or 2 jack stands for each side, and one jack? will that work?

Two jacks, that way when you get it loose, then you can roll the front axle out.
(That is if you have to replace the radius arms)
You should use jack stands back behind the radius arms to hold up the truck.
You can see some pictures on my web page of when I did mine. As you can see I used only one jack and it was a pain. When we changed out my dad's, it went a LOT faster with the two jacks.

Hey Bub, I don't know when your days off are but, if they are Sat and Sun you're welcome to come up here and I'll help put it on. I've got the air tools and grinders we would need to do the job. It's an open invitation and all it will cost you is food. We could do it the weekend after mendota that way you're ready for ATTICA.

I might have to take you up on that offer! I didn't get the superlift extended radius arms, but im planning on getting the James Duff ones (after my next paycheck)....so that might be cool......

i know for a fact that my lift won't be on until after the mendota thing, so that might work out just great!!
