My friend shows up at my work the other night, just hours after buying a new Chrysler 300C (Hemi powered) he tosses me the keys and tells me to take on the highway...and what a coincedence, my parking lot takes you right out on the freeway! That thing is WAY faster than you think 4,000 lb car should be! It is easily one of the fastest cars I've driven...

While in the car, he tells me about a End of Summer BBQ/Open House at the local hotrod shop that is building his El Camino....They are going to have the Dyno Room open, and 3 pulls are only $40! He says he is going to have the 300 dyno'd, and says that I should take the X down there and have it Dyno'd too. So I said SURE! Out of 12 or 13 cars, I had that 3 lowest HP...although it was a bit more power than even I thought it would have....

Tell me what you think.

what'd you do to get that power?? what did the 300c pull?

by the way, i really love your car. its gorgeous

Thanks for the compliments on the X...there are MANY hours into the whole vehicle....

The 300C pulled 291 hp...the only cars that beat him was a Stock`98 `Vette that pulled 321, and a built Dodge Ram that pulled 391 hp...

what numbers did the X get? what mods do you have?

The graph was posted....

Hey Spdrcer, what's the name of that hotrod shop and where is it located? I spent a little bit of time down there going to and from the Stennis (just got off that deployment, actually) so I know a little bit of the layout of the town. I won't dyno my X now, but when I start throwing on some goodies, I'm definitely down. Also, I'll let you know when go down there if you wanna meet up. I'd like to see a modified X in person if you don't mind.

are the numbers 156/257? its kinda hard to read

156.95hp & 257.25tq

The shops name with the Dyno is Max RPM, the Hot Rod shop down belows name is 'Those Guys'. They were the ones throwing the party. They JUST had a Cover car completed for some Rock Crawler magazine.., they are down on 6th Street. 1 Block up from Callow.

Why does the graph have MPH instead of RPM?

Those are great numbers for an OHV.

I think it is because it is measuring rear wheel HP & lb/ft. An engine dyno measures RPM and power at the flywheel.

They did measure, and they did plot it with RPM, I just didn't take a picture of that screen....I can get the print out when I am over there.

To figure out what RPM I was at:

4th gear M5OD = 1.0:1.0
Rear End Gear = 3.73:1
285-50-18 tire = 29.22

That makes my torque peak at about 3,000, and my horsepower peaks at about 4,000.

what are the mods? is it just whats in ur signature being the ifab intake?

There are a few custom tweaks I have done, but nothing outrageous...everything I have done, I learned from this website.

I believe Exhaust plays a BIG part of the package...

And the modified Throttle Body....

Ryan

That's alot more torque than I thought? nice.

You guys - quit looking at just the HP. Look at that torque!
