got the new system!! pioneer 8400 jl12W3s

Got this all done this past Saturday, just took me some time to get pics.

I got the Pioneer DEH 8400MP, JL 500/1 amp, 2 JL 12W3s, custom downfiring box (very little interior rattle, fits under cargo cover, no fear of hitting cones with anything I throw back there). 4gauge wiring kit. Sounds great, I love it. Its not set up to run at full tilt right now, so I can still get some more out of it later. I can still probably only use 1/3 of the functions on the head unit.

Nice! How do you like your system thus far? Any problems or anything of the sort?

I love it so far! its like playin my cds for the first time again. usin my Memphis speakers with aimable tweets for just mids and highs, subs for the lows. I love it. In songs with constant really low and hard bass hits my indiglo gauges will fade in and out slightly. Nothing else to report. Batt gauge moves very little, which is nice. the downfiring box is soooo great though..man it really cuts down on rattles.

Nice system Magic. I like the idea of those downfiring Subs. Is the box bolted down? If not.....could you turn your box and make it fire to the rear.....just curious as to how different the Subs may sound. Thanks.

Thanks! No, its not bolted down (yet). I tried turning the subs up towards the tailgate, no noticeable diff (not to me anyway...a true audio file might notice somethin). I am thinkin about putting some kinda lock under the two back legs where the only easy way at them would be to fold the back seats flat... I have to able to move the box to get stuff in to get back to college and stuff

Man you guys .... Nice Head unit, I have the same one pictures can be seen in the thread SYSTEM INSTALLED! W7 STYLE . Nice amp also, I also have the same and I love the amp and head unit to death, they are good stuff. Going with the JL's good choice man.
