grease guns

This may be kind of a dumb question, but I just lubed under my truck a little, and I still have some grease left in the grease gun. Should I remove the grease from the gun or is it ok to leave it in there?

Just leave it in there, it won't go bad.

Thanks. I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't crust up or dry out, especially on the tip fitting.
