Grill Guard

Does anyone know of a reason a grill guard for a 99-00 would not fit a '01 ?
I'd like to get this:

but it says its only for 99-00, im just thinking they might have the years mixed up for the generations. I got a coupon for free shipping through JC Whitney so i'd prefer to buy from them, and if i cant get this its the smittybuilt one thats $450.

hey, i have a grille guard in my kitchen. im near charleston, sc. if you want to drive up here and try it you can have it for $250 cash, if it dont fit you can have your money back. it wont fit a 01 sport, but i think it will fit a 01 4 door. its 1 piece welded with some seperate brackets that bolt to the frame, under the bumber and through the grille.

99-01's are exactly the same, it will fit. The front bumpers are identical and the frames are indentical. Goodluck

01' was a funny year. Some parts for an 01' sport are the same as the sport-trac, but those same parts may or may not fit a 01 4 door, then of course you have the 02 models sold in 01 which further confuses the issue. My aunt has an 01 x, but its the 02 body style and it throws everyone off when she brings it up.

Thanks but i went ahead and got the smittybuilt anyways. Just decided it looked better. Does anyone know how i can find trails in Georgia to ride on? Nothing serious since im pretty much stock, but i'd still like to have alittle fun.
