Grille makes opening hood hard... where is that lower extension?

I once a long time back saw someone point out the metal extension you can buy to allow yuou to open the hood from the lower grille if you hadn't coevred that with a billet grille yet...

I almost didn't pass inspection because I couldn't demonstrate an easy way to open the hood aside from my 5" knife ot REALLY thin screw driver...

plus being in car stereo I open that area quite often... it's annoying when I cannot easily open it, where or how can I adjust this?

PS: my grille is that nice/cheap one off ebay for $60

i have on that i was gonna use for my grill but i have small fingers and we dont have inspection in az so if you want it i can send it to you.

I just ziptied the second release open. So after you pull the hood-release latch from inside, there is nothing holding it down. (except that it is a damn heavy hood).

Works super well, and I've never heard of a hood release failing...

You can also convert to a '98+ latch. They open from between the hood and radiator support (once the latch is popped).
