for the last little while i notice that everytime i use my 4x4 there is a grinding sound coming from the front end. To me it sounds like it is coming from the drivers side and gets worse when i apply the brakes. Its not the brakes, ive checked it out and it only happens in 4 wheel. The u joints are new but still get the noise. Im not sure if its the t case but was wondering if i engaged the 4x4 but left the manual hubs unlocked, would that be a good way to diagnose the t case? or, if i locked my hubs and didnot engage the t-case, would this be a good way to diagnose the front diff? What do you suggest?
