I need to get this fixed ASAP in the morning I'm going to the local shop...
I have a 93 FD Exp 69000
an occational bumping noise the past few days - like a hit a small pothole but nothing was there. On the way home tonight 55mph in 2wd the wheel lurched and it felt like 4x4 kicked in - trany feels ok it shifts ok - I tried putting it in and out of 4x4 doing the reverse deal did not fix the problem. It is making a very noticable grinding in the front end - drove the rest of the way home about 25mph I could of gone faster but I wanted to get home.

I was hoping to get some insight before the shop guys got hold of it.

Please help out - thanks Bill

It definantly sounds like you blew a wheel bearing.

to me, it sounds like you blew or bearing or somehow damaged the inner parts of the hub to where they are stuck....

Have the same problem. waiting for new hubs to come in mail.
