Hi everyone,
Got a problem with my 2002 Explorer and I'm hoping someone can tell me what might be wrong. It started about a week ago and happens all the time now.
When I make a right hand turn, I have a grinding sound, (Sounds like metal on metal) that seems to be coming from the rear end of the truck. Seem like it is coming from the right rear side, but that could just be me sitting in the drivers seat trying to listen. I also hear it when I go over a little hill in the road or a dip in the road. I have been meaning to take it in, but payday isn't until this Friday.
Now I started the truck up today and the 4x4 lights, both High and Low are flashing a few times then go away. I don't think this can be good.
So my questions are, what might be wrong with my truck, and secondly, how much does something loike the 1st question usually cost to have a mechanic fix?
Thanks for all your help.
