GT Shorty headers for the 4.6 on an Eddie Bauer?

Found email from chris over at kooks in april and this is what he had quoted as a base price "Stainless Steel would be $2250, mild steel would be $1750."

yeah ok, nevermind.... i'll spend 500 on shorties, then i'll get a full exhaust done and a tune and spend less then 1200$

Unless he did a JY turbo setup with ALL his own fabrication then there is no way in hell he only did it for $2k. Still a pretty impressive Mounty. Sounds like a remote turbo setup. I am glad to see more people doing custom forced induction on their 3rd gens.

Is that Mounty owner a member here?

hes running a prsision turbo so if you includ the maf and tuning equiptmnet he probally did break the 2000$

Yep, I was talking about the whole package from the tubing, turbo, oil return pump (assuming remote), injectors, MAFS, and Flash device with tune. All those items are necessary for forced induction with these trucks. An upgraded fuel pump or pump booster such as a KB BAP was probably used too which adds another $100-$200+. It adds up allot REAL quick. I am a dealer with a mandrel bending company and receive all sorts of other dealer discounts on turbo's, and other odd parts and even while getting all that and custom tuning myself I would be somewhat hard pressed to do a turbo setup with all new parts for less than $2k. Now a JY setup for less than $2k is well doable if you do all of your own work including tuning. Allot of the guys on TurboMustang's do allot of their own builds and do save one hell of allot of money though, I give them that. I have been a member over there for a while but only occasionally go over there to post. I might throw up a welding and fabrication "how to" thread over there sometime soon once I get around to it. It seems that people are always in search of good fabrication advice.
