ford explorer 2010
hi all, i am very glad to join this forum.
i have a ford explorer xlt 2010 with about 140k mi, basically everything going well but i feel some hard downshifting when deceleration while to stopping, i read most of stories about this and i made the relearn strategy for it by disconnecting the negative of battery and did the full instructions carefully. after that the car downshift prefect for about 3 week and back again to the bad habit.

what are your instructions to solve this issue??

transmission oil and filter well maintained and all maintenance regularly taken!!!

thanx in advance to all

thank you dear for your response, is that mean i need to go to the dealership to update the firmware by connecting the computer with car???
many people said that 2010 was the last updated one !!!

Update!!!! I went to the dealership and i described the issue, they said that full check on the car should be taken and this will take 48 hours, after that they will tell me the problem.

They also said this issue is not an update issue. Mostly it is on of the Solenoid may stuck open or close and make the hard downshift, by disconnecting the battrey the stucked Solenoid then released.

To be more spacific i think the hard diwnshift become when warmed up.

after alot of searching, i replaced the solenoid pack and trans fluid and filter, all issues about the shifting disappeared, no more hard downshift but if i turn the AC on sometimes i feel some hard downshift from time to time?
