whats up...i have a 96 4dorr xlt i bought a couple months ago it has 96k on it and the ride seems to be getting a little harsh...i don't do any offroading and it is the stock ride height...any clue what to check??...i figure its just the shocks gone bad...where should i buy new ones and which ones??...i want a nice comfortable ride..what do u guys suggest?...thanks for any help

Definately check the shocks. There are many threads that you can search for that have tons of info on shocks. Also check the radius arm bushings, those are known for going bad on 1st gens.

It might take getting used to. My 97 EB V-8 had on a scale of 1 being poor and 10 being high, I rated mine a 3, rough and loud. Now with new Rancho RSX shocks and brand new 30X9.50x15 Wild Country A/T tires it still is not an impressing 5 maybe. I may have high standards but my 90 Ranger 4x4 rides so much quieter and smoother. It's hard to dispute that.

I wonder what happend to my post...i did post one. Anyway I've heard nothing but good things around Gabriel VST's, they are much cheaper than the rancho's, only around 20 bucks each...and pep boys will install them free I think.

Good luck,
CP :D
