Has Anyone Added A Power Port?

I am planning to add an additional power socket in front of the shifter to the left of that pedal control button. Has anyone tried to do something like this yet? I already have the hardware I need. I think I can just get the power from the existing front port in that stupid location. Any suggestions before I start cutting?

I haven't had the console apart in a while, there may be no room. Plan B would be to surface mount it somewhere, either in the glove box or under the passenger seat.

I installed one under the passenger seat - tapped into the existing power. There's plenty of room to pass wire were the center console meets the carpet, no cutting needed.
