Has anyone checked pricing on 96-01 Superlift at 4wp lately?

WOW. I just called up 4wps and cancelled my order. I cant afford this lift. The second box 9633 is costing an additional $782.00. (It is a must to have both boxes.) I spoke with Carl a reall nice guy. He said that they are correcting the site to be more specific and that the site should be done in a few weeks. The rear lift box part #1147 costs another $82.00 and the rear lift springs part # 01-194 i didnt get a price for. But the total lift would be $1,400+. After i heard that the idea went out the door. So to those of you that helped me thanks alot. Looks like im back to getting a BL.

Thats the way it is.

You can't get all the parts from one store. Has to do with some international trade treaty with Alabama. You have to get the other front box from Rusty's in London, OH.

Weeks? A fix like that takes seconds! The might want to look outside for new web admins.

LOL I knew it would backfire.

I dunno how much yet....

Who says SOA is not safe? You know how many thousands upon thousands of trucks out there are running with springs over axles? It is completely safe. You might lose a bit of "comfort quality" but where is the loss in safety?

Only negative things I've heard about SOAs are driveshaft issues and axle wrap. I think they're perfectly safe.

actually, where does the "comfort quality" come in as well. for SUA, the springs would have to me more arched than the springs for SOA. this would make the flex for the SOA better, right?

SOA or SUA - enough lift the driveshaft is too short no matter where the springs are. As for Flex, I honestly don't know that there is much of a difference. The advantage is to ge the same amount of lift you can have a smaller spring pack with less arch with SOA than with SUA, that is where I believe you will get the better flex, I wouldn't think that it has anything to do with whether the axle is over or under, if it does it is very small.

As for quality, I didn't notice any change, but I knw some people clame it rides a bit stiffer, I don't know the justification for all that.

I supose right now you're just sitting there grinning b/c other people have ordered it and thought they could save $1k. Good, I'm not the only person;)

He can grin all he wants. I don't care. I don't feel stupid. I thought we had an opportunity to get a great deal, so I moved on it. So what if it didn't work out? I don't need new driveshafts with a BL and i haven't lost anything. Heck, I almost got tires/wheels/BL at wholesale outta their mistake... too bad the shipping was so high :(

You live you learn. I was probably going to just try to sell the kit on eBay anyway. I didn't feel like getting custom driveshafts :D

Thats too bad about the shipping, cause every time I go into the one here and they are on the phone for an order they offer to have it dropped shipped for free, saves them the hassles of unloading a truck just to load stuff back up again.

yeah, they told me 896 for wheels + tires but then i'd have to pay shipping. I can get them to my door for $910, which is still more than I can afford.

haha... I think we caused quite a ruckus at 4WP. Both times that I called today to cancel the order and talk to them about it, they asked if i had already called b/c they had just talked to some guy about this lift.

And then when I was cookin' dinner, a 3rd rep called me to clarify my order, and when I told him that I had cancelled it, he asked if he had talked to me this morning too.. Haha... how many people bought this lift?

Oh, one of the guys had an Explorer so I told him to check out this site :D

I'm pretty impressed with 4WP's customer service, they were willing to work with me and offered the lift for $1300 and then when I asked about tires, one guy was gonna cut me a $100 break. Too bad I can get em cheaper elsewhere, i'd like to give em my business after how they've treated me today. Heck, I just sat there and shot the **** with the Explorer owner after I cancelled the order.

wtf

I guess this proves once again that if something is too good to be true then its... well, you know how it goes.

Although, I wished it worked for you guys. :(

I must have missed the part of the day when the fat lady was on here singing! :D

So what are you saying Section, your raising enough hell with 4WP that you still might get the lift for $500?

I didn't order the kit. It was my GF! :D And she is meeeeeaaan! :p

Actually, you know what.. no, I'm not impressed. On 2 separate occasions today, they refused to price match National Tire and Wheel. I told them NTW's qouted price and all they could tell me was that's a good price.
