My uncle had this problem on his 97 limited, and now Im having the same problem, its a exhaust leak coming from around the donught on the manafold and pipe, you know where im talking about? The ford deal said its got something to do with the EGR valve, but I dont know why this would effect that? Anyone else had this problem with theirs?

Mine has an exhuast leak as well, but I think that mine has to do with the fact that I caught the pipe that runs across the vehicle from the driver's side to the passenger side on a ditch or something either going in or coming out. I know that's it since the pipe isn't quite straight anymore, and my exhaust leak noise is coming from the driver's side.

I've got an exhaust leak on the driver's side manifold. I'm not sure if it's a factory defect or if it's due to the fact that my x was crashed on that corner...

Exhaust leak on passenger side manifold. Defect, I'm sure.

same here- leak on the passenger side manifold. i have some FRPP headers waiting in my garage that will fix the problem.:D

I was thinking about headers when my manifold finally blows out. But on a 4.0L, this might not be a great idea. I've heard that I would lose low-end power with headers.
