Has anyone heard of Saleen wheels cracking?!

I'm trying to decide between Saleens and Cobra Rs and one person said that a friend of theirs heard from a Saleen employee that Saleen's wheels have been cracking when used on Explorers.

Has anyone else heard anything about this?

I've now checked a few other sites as well as doing searches using Google, Excite,etc. and havent' found anything about Saleen wheels cracking on Explorers. Has anyone heard that they crack?

this might be a waste of your time, but why dont you try calling saleen? whats the worst they can say?...

1) they crack --> so buy the cobra r's.

2) they dont crack --> so buy the saleens.

3) they dont know --> well, youre back where you started from, but it cant hurt to try.

Just spoke to a friend who has saleen on his x and he said he has had no problems and hasn't heard of any.I really believe that guy was pulling frank's leg. Am cocern just as you are because I purchased a set of chrome saleens.It's my belief that the sales manger was wrong.

Anthony, check out my post on the "Cobras or Saleens" thread. I called Saleen and they explained to me which wheels are ok to use on an Explorer. If you have any questions e-mail me! Hope your wheels are ok.
