I have looked and can't find that I have a subwoofer and encasement box in the passenger, back quarter panel area that I want to remove the sub and recess in some storage. I don't know if I'll use some mesh netting to hold stuff in or whatever. I want to make it take up that real estate of the back three inches deep and two feet front-to-back area inside where the void space is over the tire well and under the window.

Has anyone made any recessed storage space that looks professional quality?

I don't want it to look hacked-up but I want to get my roadside kit and other stuff out of the way.

Help please - pics are GREATLY appreciated

One idea, that I thought of, but using the unit as a sub enclosure...

Like this, but poly...

I removed the box thing and put the trim piece back on. Lined the metal with car carpet. Took a few hours and looked pretty good imho :D

Hey ColinTrax - Do you have any pics?

Colintrax, do you have any pix?

what kind of carpet did you use? I thought that'd look cheezy, but did it come out well? - -- if you dont mind, I'm really curious

Sorry no pictures that I know off. I just used some basic black carpet from the autoparts store, I think it was autozone. It's pretty cheap stuff but it's not really visible anyways. It came out really well, I painted the little trim piece black which I think helped make it match with the black carpet. Lined the whole area back where with it. You just gotta get creative with the tail light area, and top where it bulges out.
Eventually though the carpet started to fall off the top, guess that happens when you stuff it full :D

I left the sub face, removed the sub and put an aircompressor in there.
