Found an advert for these ignition coils here on Serious Explorations.

$90 for a complete set of 8 coils is extremely cheap. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with these coils, or using 1aauto.com for parts. I recently replaced all 8 plugs at 100,000 miles, and was planning on doing coils next as I still have a misfire. If I go with motorcraft coils I'll probably just replace the misfiring coil for now, but for $90 I would replace them all.

Never used those but I would stay away.

Accel Super Coil (p/n 140033-8)
$210 from Summit or Jegs
eBay

save 90%.... I would try them out replace the faulty one and if it fixes the issue save 1 for back up and sell 6 on ebay 1 by 1 and make your money back.... im sure there is a reason they are marked down so much.... but I buy things off 1a auto's ebay page with no problems

Got the acceleration on my 02. From what I read cheap coils use aluminum wire instead of copper. getting full set of access a lot cheaper than buying individially

the continuity between copper and aluminum is very close... carbon, silver, copper, annealed copper, gold and aluminum.... in that order from there the drop is large and alloys are even worse.... the price of copper vs aluminum is the deciding factor in choosing the materiel and that people prefer copper because they don't have the metallurgical knowledge.... lead is so far down the list it funny... 1.68×10−8 vs 2.82×10−8 @ 20c from copper vs aluminum the distance of the run makes the difference and since an ignition coil pack is only inches I have no problem with the use of this metal.... another note skyscrapers use aluminum buss bar construction because of the negligible loss vs cost.... just food for thought from somebody that works in the metallurgical field

It's not inches. It's made of many windings. In addition, I don't think the aluminum gods up as well Under the high heat being a COP type setup

Yeah I tried them and one went out after 2 months but the others are still working after a year. :exp:

We've had good luck with these. We also offer a lifetime warranty on them.

If you purchased them from us, call our sales staff at 866-403-3393 and we can look up your order to see if they're covered under warranty.
