Hauling messy loads, trash, etc...

I have a husky liner in the back that fits in when my third row is folded down. I have thought about doing something to the back of the second row to make it more resistant to getting messy. I know that if I haul one of my dogs back there the second row's backing is covered in dog hair when I am done. Has anyone replaced the covering with plastic? I know they make expensive liners that will cover the whole cargo area but all I really need is to cover the back of the second row of seats.

When I had to haul some greasy/dirty parts from the race car once, I just folded all the seats flat and laid a big tarp down to cover everything. Crude, but effective.

I took a piece of scrap house carpet, cut it to shape, and lay it on top of the folded down back seats whenever I take my dog in the car. It prevents the dog from ruining the leather, it's more comfortable for him to lay on, and it even matches the tan interior!
