hello, got a weird problem, indicators works fine (both) but hazard lights doesnt, red triangle on instrument panels is on - no clicking sound nor lights, thing is it pointed me automaticly to a turn signal relay, but when I have removed one (under steering column) it still does the same, obviously indicators doesnt work, but light comes on, on instrument panel and stays on, did read some of explorers got 2 relays - one for hazard lights and one for indicators, help PLEASE

Allow me to clarify what you have written. Correct any of this which is not right.

1. Left and right turn signal exterior lamps work correctly when the Multi-Function Switch is placed to the right or left position. Indicator lights in dash also work correctly for them.
2. If you press the hazard button on the top of the steering column the exterior hazard lights do not flash. The indicator lights on the dash come on but remain solid instead of flashing.
3. You replaced the turn flasher "relay" with a new one (not used).

any ideas?

I suggest you get a new "Turn flasher" as they are called (often referred to as the turn relay but it is not just a simple relay). You should be able to drive the the store, take the old one out, buy a new one and compare them to make sure they are the same, and test right there. A new one should cost about $15.

thanks, problem is it costs about $100 in here :( and dont want to spend all that money and find its not it :(

That is very odd... Try a junkyard or RockAuto.com to see what their shipping to you is.

did get one from AutoRock and it doesn’t fit, it is much smaller, when came back to RockAuto been told its because it is for a vehicle with towing package, and therefore it looks like my car doesn’t have this package, not sure what it is - towing package - as even customer service at RA doesn’t know, contacted Ford US to find out, waiting for reply,

thanks a lot for your time, also today discovered that if I press relay on a top it works, maybe there is a loose connection, will investigate further,

still weird is why red triangle is lit on a cluster panel without relay in place

Sometimes the insulation on the wires which connect to the Hazard button gets worn through and they short out. That has led to cases were people see a small amount of smoke coming out of their hazard switch. If you search the forum you'll find a few threads on it.

thanks, found a guy who will sell me second hand one for about $12 not bad, for the moment I need to press relay if i need hazard lights, no big deal, wondering what for will say about tow package or more or less if its including any mods to turn signal relay,

will update ASAP
