In my 2016 Police Interceptor Utility the 4-way flasher switch doesn't work.
It feels like a dummy switch with no travel. Before I work thru trying to source a replacement switch is this actually enabled in the PIU?
With 28 Whelen lights everywhere the 4-way isn't often needed but sometimes it's nice to be less obvious.
Thanks!

Welcome to the Forum.
I think it's best to wait for an answer from other PIU owners before doing anything. I seem to recall that in the retail unit, it isn't just a simple switch replacement, however, I have not been successful so far in finding any posts on it.

Update: I did manage to find some threads on the switch/button. Not sure if they are helpful.
hazard lights and cd eject botton not working (see post #9)

Peter, Thanks for the welcome and thank you for taking the time to do your research for me.

On my '14 with the switch right in the middle of the center dash stack, it does not feel like a latching mechanical switch, like a momentary switch that is just a logic signal for whichever computer (aka BCM?) handles that. I wrote capacitive touch switch in that topic Peter linked, but mine appears to be a regular momentary IIRC because it moves slightly while capacitive switches normally don't.

Great explanation!
Closer inspection when things got quiet reveals you're exactly right.
I was somehow pressing it expecting a more tactile feedback like earlier similar switches.
A soft touch and it works as it should.
Thanks for responding.
