Anyone here have HD Radio? Any thoughts on quality? Seems interesting and most all of my local stations also have 2 HD stations.

HD radio for cars is just dumb. Car stereo's are not anywhere near quailty enough to be usefull. Unless you spend a lot of $$. It's like watching a VCR tape on a 70" plasma, with the audio though a boombox. IMHO
I have a friend with 1. The only reason it's out is so local stations can compete with sat radio. And he does run it through his factory 4 speakers with an aftermarket HU. I can't hear a difference in quailty.

Anyone else have any experience with HD Radio?

My headunit is hd capable, with a $200 tuner box, but after listening to it in my friends mb (stock) its really not worth it especially if you dont have any good stations in your area to begin with. Even if I had many excellent stations I would have a hard time justifying it for a non daily driver.

If you are an audiophile, and you are into car audio, I would highly recommend it.

It's about like this: Makes AM sound like FM. Makes FM sound like a CD.

Now, if you don't really notice a huge difference between the sound qualities of FM and a CD, or if you don't have a decent enough car stereo in the first place, it shouldn't be your first investment.

Then again, there are stations out there (at least where I live in DFW) that are only available with HD. So you get more stations, period. And there is no monthly charge like with satellite radio.
