I've been wondering this as well. And I'm all about FREE! I'm far from being ready to pay for radio. It's somewhere after being ready to pay for HD TV. There are sites where you can check for HD stations in your area, but if they have the station, are you pretty much guaranteed to pick it up?! I guess the question is, is the coverage as good for an HD broadcast station and for an analog station?
I don't have one but plan on getting one. You can get a Head unit with a built in HD tuner for $200 bucks. There are add on HD tuners too for any radio. It wouldn't hurt to have it. I think all radio stations will go to HD eventually.
