I searched for this but couldn't find anything on it.

2003 4.6L Limited. Truck has been sitting recently as I picked up a mustang to play with. Because it was sitting my battery was being drained by the factory alarm (old battery). Put a new battery in it and the 4x4 high started blinking (new battery and 4x4 flash were both yesterday). I read about the ground strap on the TC or the module, thought that was the end of it. Then I got a call from my neighbour that my lights are flashing on my truck. The alarm wasn't going off but it was as if it was but without the horn going. Head and tail lights were flashing as fast as they could. I disconnected the battery for a few minutes then reconnected it and they were flashing again. This was last night and I haven't touched it since. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem of their lights flashing. Any ideas?

Sometimes the explanation is in your first instinct - is the alarm siren confirmed to be working, and does the alarm remote stop the flashing lights?

I believe I tried the remote last night and nothing happened. If it happens again I will check that. I connected the battery this morning and there was no flashing lights and it started up no problems. The new battery is the same group 65 size just a bit more juice with 850 CCA I can't see that doing anything though. I am hoping it is a bad ground somewhere as that is what I am hoping is the 4x4 flashing light problem as well but I haven't had a chance to ground the TC yet. Seems like a weird symptom of a bad ground though. Is there any way to reset the factory alarm?

Well knock on wood I haven't had the lights flashings again yet. Still curious if anyone else has had this though?

My clients '94 Explorer headlights & running lights continued to flash on and off alternately - headlights alternate between high beam and low beam while running lights came on at same time as low beam. Reminded me of a cop car. Occurs randomly. When I reconnect the battery it will sometime solve it and other times it happens again. Wondering how to determine if it's a fuse, relay, module, or computer issue. Don't have a reader.
