Alright, so I have a 1997 Ex-sport 4.0L OHV (vin x) - the head gasket is K.I.A... again because a certain girl was allowed to drive it, and "forgot" to put the radiator cap back on when checking the fluids (that's another story). This happened for the first time about 2 years back. I replaced the heads with that one (due to pitting, and a valve issue).. I REALLY REALLY don't want to do that again.. it was a pain. Especially since this vehicle has 190,x.. on it and I just need it for one more year before I can be in a financial position to replace it.

now to the question: Does the H/G repair stuff you put in your engine work? even temporarily? I figure its worth it to try - after all my choices are: pay someone $1350 or spend another 6 hours doing it AGAIN. I am CONFIDENT, but not 100% sure, the heads are fine because first off they're new (about 15,000 miles on them) and secondly there is NO compression loss in any of my cyl's. Which is a damn good sign. Of course the only way to be sure is to have them looked at... which would defeat the purpose of trying NOT to rip it down to the block again... any suggestions/input?

Thanks!

Oh and to be clear: the product I intend to use is "Steel Seal" - I have heard stories that it works, but never personally seen its results.
