Have a 2000 ford explorer north face have noticed for a long while now that the car dont chime when you leave the lights on when you open the door and when the key is put into the ignition. the 98 i use for parts did chime when all of the above done. I did swap the box that does the chime and bits but it made the wipers on my 2000 go nuts. Is there a reason as to why it dont chime have checked all the fuses and all so dose not have the message centre so you cant turn it off there. Fed up of forgetting them and having a dead battery
