My low beam lights are not working on my truck. I have a 1997 ford explorer, eddie bauer awd. The bulbs have been changed as well as the combination switch. A mechanic I use to go to told me there was a small black box in the dash that was bad and needed to be replaced. Unfortunatly I can not get ahold of this mechanic. I don't know what he part is called, can anyone help? I was told I could only get it from the dealer and the part was 60$. I was also told the dealer charges like 300 for labor.

Thanks, the fuses have already been checked as well

Also check to make sure the wire in the steering column did not come loose. My low beams also stopped working, and this was the issue. It seems those wires wear out as you put the steering wheel up and down over the years. I soldered the wire back in and low beams work again!

most likely your LOM module is "broke"... lots of posts, some fix (if you can use a soldering iron), others "modify" with a "wire around", and others replace.
