I have heard about some head light lenses that match the color of your truck when turned off, and look like normal lights when turned on.. Has anyone else heard of these??

In the Toyota Performance catalog, they have headlights that are black when turned off, then normal when on. This is the closest thing that I've heard about. I don't know of there is one that fits explorers.

I'll take a look, thanx!!

Well they aren't what I was looking for, the ones I want are the actual lense, not a cover.

Well I figure this isnt what you are looking for, I have never heard of what you are asking. But what I did was took some clear headlight covers, and made my own design. I took the top and corner turnsingnal lights out, and stenciled three circles on my headlight covers, put some tape over them, then painted the inside of the covers my body color. Everyone loves them. THey say they never saw it before on a truck. Gives it a totally different look. you can do it with the front or the rear.I ahve had it like that for over 5 months now, and havent had a problem with police at all. Even got pulled over for not having both of my plates, and he didnt mention anything about my head lights. Here is a pic

Its somethign to consider, I have never seen what you are talking about

That's ok, I have seen lenses that are dark, then not when the lights are on.. I'll just keep looking..

I know you can use black transparent model paint. I don't know if they make it in other colors or not, but my friend had the black on his F150 and said he liked it. Good luck.

Well that is an option, I'll just have to keep looking.
