Head unit won't turn on after cutting OEM amp wires

I installed a new amp and sub and got it all wired and working so I figured that I could snip the wires going to the stock amp that was no longer there. After I cut them the head unit wouldnt turn on. So I soldered each wire back together and wrapped it back up and the head unit still wont turn on. What did I do?? The head unit is an aftermarket pioneer.

Maybe I blew a fuse? The lights flickered when I cut it. It's below freezing and after midnight so I'm taking a break for the night.

Blew the 25A radio fuse. Replaced it and all is well again.
