I have them

I have Borla headers and cat back on my 91.
I have no idea if my milage picked up. The power is up, but I rebuilt and recammed my engine when I installed them, so I dont know how much the headers contribute on their own.

I had no real problems. Remember to retorque the cross over clamp after a few heat cool cycles. Sounds like tubular headers- a little tinny sound under the hood. I wrapped mine with header wrap to cut down on the under hood heat which mutes it a bit. fit and finish was excellent - I did take a grinder to some of the welds inside the tubes knock down some of the spatter-probably not necessary, but made me fell better.
I installed mine before lowering the engine into place, no problem.

Good luck and have fun.

ok great!

thanx for all the info on the headers,, sounds like a good deal,, iu was talking to some guys today at work and they said that t304 will never rust, will never break down, may corrode but that would be about it.
one more ?,, did you instail them on the engine, then drop it in,, or instail them to the exsaust then drop the engine in?
thanx again for the great info!

Issac,

I bolted the headers to the engine and then dropped the whole thing in. I dont remember it being too difficult. Once it was in I hooked up the crossover. Tip- install the o2 sensor before you install the crossover - itwas a bit easier than reaching around and screwing it in, while its attached, then you can just connect the o2 plugs(easier said than done, its a *****, up behind the bellhousing and between the firewall. I used two people- one holding the connection from above pushing down, and someone under the truck reaching up. )

The stainless is nice, Ive had my cat back and muffler since 1992, 140,000 miles ago. The headers only have about 15k on them so far.

Have fun

Thanx alot!

Thanx alot for the info!! you have been a VERY big help! ill use your tips when i drop it in!
Thanx a million!

Buy 'em !

Issac -

I have both the Borla headers and cat-back exhaust (since 95).

They are a great addition, but don't expect the sound of big block V-8 headers after installation. I agree with Steve (a little "tinny").

I did notice some "seat of the pants" acceleration - - but nothing too extreme. Gas mileage for me stayed the same.

$340 is an awesome deal - - I wouldn't pass it up.

well,,

got the new engine in, and headers on and the engine runs great, i love the headers,, btw,, i ended up getting them for only $290.00 with all hardware and all,, they were onsale.
anyway just today the passengers side header devoloped a slight exsaust tick, no big deal, im going to be re tightening everytthing thing up nevxt weekend(intakes, valve covers, front cover, ect. ect.) may as well hit the manifold bolts while i have it torn down lol
also, i reinstailed the 92 injectors into the engine prior to instailatoin, im going to put the 94's in, they look to be a better flowing injector, there's 4 tiny holes as aposed to just the one on the 92 injectors, maybe you guys know these as the "red/orange top injectors"
anyway loving the headers.
oh we also found the prevous owner had already gutted the cat,
this isnt a problem for me we dont have emmisoins, and so far im not getting any bad computer readings,
any ideas for a good all around catback? im thining flowmaster 50, i've heard alot about it, i want something that will inprove both performance and fuel econimy, have a nice rumble when i get on it,, but not be to annoying on the highway.
thanx again guys!
