the blocks are the same dont know about the head designs for all 4.6 3v engines so f-150 and mustang headers could fit but I cant confirm any fitment issues with other components or if you could make clearance with a hammer

summit racing lists a set for explorers but they are $800 as the mustang version is only $300 and they look identical with same 2.5" collector

I have a 2008 Sport Trac 4.6, and I have headers, but had to have them custom built by Jardine Headers in Casper, WY. The do fit, and are serviceable, but extremely tight in there!

Can I ask you what you paid to get those done? I’ve been looking around for awhile now.

It was just over $2000.

I was looking for the most torque, so they built a Tri-Y long tube design . . . so that's 4 into 2 into 1 collectors on each side. Thick heavy duty flange. Have had no leaks in 3 years. All stainless construction. They did an awesome job of making them pretty much equal length. And, they say that they're even serviceable . . . although I know it will be tricky if they ever need to come out. But they had to put a lot of time into designing the geometry . . . in - out . . . in - out . . . and then welded it all up. Because of the length, they had to reconfigure the front end of the exhaust system. So now it has a couple of short GM high flow CATs. This was all included in the cost, and it bolted up with my Gibson exhaust, just ahead of the muffler.

I did have a shop here locally that was willing to give it a shot, but it would have been an open checkbook situation . . . straight time and materials.

I did have a couple photos, but had an issue with my phone, and they weren't backed up . . .
