headers

I am thinking about replaceing the exhaust mani for headers in my 91 4.0 I see there is little variety. There are some at www.truckperformance.com Anyone do any header replacement?

I put BBk header on my x i go them from truckperformance i am not really that happy with them bbk welded the colector backward and they where a pain in th ass.

They gave me a little more power but i for some reason they sound like i have a excausty leak but i checked and checked and i don't could not find any thing i don't know if it is just because the tubing is tinner on the header's and know i can hear the pinging from the combustion chamber gas bouncing off the walls of the header or what it is but i kind i really want to put my stock man's on but that's my 2 cents

I know Borla has proven to be the best header and one of the priciest. Did you have to undo the engine mounts and lift the motor? Did you just start removing crap fromt he cluttered injun compartment? I had a 5.0 mustang and it was a cinch to put in the bbk headers. They were the nickel plated one's that didn't discolor when they got hot. Man, those were worth their weight in gold.
