Has anyone done this on their first gen explorer? Ive seen it done with the Landcruiser headlights. Anyone got any advice on how to do it? Ive also seen a front end conversion done with the second gen ranger grills replacing the first gen explorer grills. Any advice?

conversion? from what model to what model?

I have seen pics of people who have converted their 91-94 X headlights to the Toyota Landcruiser Headlights. Ive also seen the stock 91-94 X grill replaced with a new model ranger or explorer grill. Check cardomain for a pic of a 91 or 92 X who has done the landcruiser headlight conversion.

sounds like you already answered your own question

I have? My question was supposed to be taken as...does anyone know how to go about doing this...i meant has anyone HERE done this so i could get some advice....

have you tried imimng or emailing the one from cardomain that you liked?

yeah, with no luck...

i have been on this site a while and havent seen anyone with a mod like that...... but from experience, i woulgd say your going to need the parts and some metal cutting tools and a good amount of bondo

I've seen one, but have no clue who it was or where to find it.. sorry...

EDIT - Ok, that's the one

Doesn't look too bad if ya got some fab skills... If you know you got fab skills (welding included) I bet with alot of prep and design, it could be pulled off...

Buy one of the lights, and a grill and a fender you can trash... Then I'd say go at it. It's all about trial and error if you can't get help from someone who's already done it. You could also get a fender in usable shape, and if you get it to work the first time, more power to ya.

Now, why you'd wanna do this, i dunno. Plus being hidden behind that grill gaurd, i can't really tell if it looks all that great...

Oh, you'd probly need the wiring diagrams from both vehicles so as to get the correct wiring to the new bulbs... unless they use the same style bulb, which i doubt.

yeah...thats it....he also put s-10 altezzas on it...
