headlight problems

I have a problem with my '01 sport. the headlights dont come on with the switch unless i play with the blinker/highbeam switch. anyone know whats going on or a quick fix?

I believe it is your blinker/highbeam switch. Can some one else please confirm?

Your MFS (Multi-function switch) is bad. Mustangs are notorious for doing this same thing. Also when checking it check all your plugs and wires to make sure nothing has melted. Have you installed bulbs with higher wattage than stock?

The MF'ing switch is likely the most common repair among 4+ year old Xs. Its an easy fix and about $60
