I am thinking about putting some headrest monitors in my EX. I no they make headrests with monitors already installed but they won't match. My interior is med stone. Has anyone done a headrest monitor install? If you have please give me the blow by blow.

Well your options are 1 of 2 ways.

1. cut the monitors into your factory headrest. Its not hard at all, just have to be patient and slow to make them look nice.

2. get some of the "universal" pre-fab ones and take them to a upholstery shop and have them re-wrap them in matching factory cloth. That way you will always have the factory to thro back in when you get rid of the vehicle. They dont really add any value to the vehicle since they are so cheap now days.

there is a guy on this forum his nickname is Blueka, he did headrest monitors, and they turned out great looking,, maybe message him about how he did them,

his Explorer was a second gen, but i am sure they wouldn't be much different,,

Thanks guys. Merchjo post some pics Jersey!

not sure what interior you have, but crutchfield sells headrest monitors with the factory matched headrests, it's a little pricier than doing it yourself, but it's also a lot less work.
