Welcome to this forum! I've renamed your thread, and moved it into the A/C & heater section. There are a lot of threads on the blend door on this site. A quick seach will show you how to repair it.

tinner72, welcome to the forum. To replace the blend door the correct way, the dash board needs to come out. As you may know, the blend door is located in the plenum (heater box). On your model, it should be located directly behind the glove box. Some people have found ways in which they cut into the plenum with a roto-zip and replace it. When I did this on my 98 sport, there was just not enough room and I really didnt want to cut into something that I really wasnt fimilar with. The dealer wanted $1400 to replace it because they sell it has a whole unit and not an individual part. The blend door itself, is a $15 part with a life time warranty at your local parts store. So if you are fimilar with taking apart the dashboard or bold enough to cut into the plenum, this will save you a lot of money. Be sure that you check to make sure it is the blend door and not the actuator. You can do this by either putting your hand on top of the actuator and turning the temp. control knob. You will probably feel it running. If nothing is still felt, you can then remove it. Then just plug it into the wiring harness and see if it spins. The actuator replacement is much less time consuming so it would be wise to check this first. Good Luck!
