Well My explorer is running pretty well. I have replaced numerous things lately. I don't remember when this started happening. It doesnt bother me too much.. its just kind of weird, and I bet it uses a little gas. Ok so here is the question:

When The car is on or (ignition on) whenever the air works, you can always feel a breeze of air coming out of the vents. You can adjust the cold/warm.. so its not like hot air that is bothering me. I can also turn it to floor, and some comes out on the floor, (none on the vents). Other than that, the heat and everything works perfectly fine and great. I just want to see if I could fix this small problem.

Thanks!

Your post confused me. Which are you experiencing?

a) Hot air always comes out of the ventilation system regardless of the temp setting

- or -

b) Air always comes through the ventilation system, but the temp is controllable

It's normal for air to flow through the ventilation system when driving. If you can't control the temperature of that air there's a problem.

Hope this helps...

Hey there, on your air duct selector (your top lever), move the lever to the left all the way, this should be the "off" position for the heater control. It should close the outside air vent door.
