EDIT: Nvm, after a quick search I found that the harness will be missing 2 wires, and a relay.

I dont think it'd be too hard to wire up yourself though...

My XLT has stock heated mirrors. Did they not come on yours?

Isn't the Limited Explorer the only one that comes with heated mirrors?

Sucks,If i would have to squeeze wires through the boot of the door then ill pass.

You can drill a small hole to avoid going through the boot.

I suppose,do you know how exactly it would get wired?

This is possible but a pain in the ass because you have to rewire your old harness for the new one or your mirrors won't work. I did it but I know a bit about electronics. I recently switched a 3 prong connector with 6 pin connector. A voltmeter helps. I don't know what activates heated mirrors but if you find a constant +12 all you need is a toggle switch somewhere.

And for the puddle, the older EXES have a small lamp in the corner of the door that turns on when you open the door, just wire the puddle lamp to that since they both should turn on when door opens.

And finally those cheap chinese mirrors suck the bag, don't bother getting all these options just because you see a mirror for $19.. it's a plastic piece of garbage that barely fits or matches and rattles on the highway. I would keep the original if you have the option.

No need to rewire, the plugs are the same. Tap into the the two wires on the heated mirror harness, between the mirror and plug. Run your wires to the rear defrost.

They aren't the same, there is a small prong and a big prong, even when you get
both with big prongs the grooving is different and isn't plug and play. I had the 96 with the small prong then the 2000 with the big prong and the harness I plucked from the wreckers didn't fit either. had to shave the grooves down .. I also went inside another optionless 2000 and found the old small prong. There are at least 3 prongs I know of

When i added heated mirrors to my 99 eddie, i used 00 limited mirrors and they plugged right in. I haven't seen the grooved ones.

It seems there are 3 connectors

Power mirror
Power mirror w/puddle
Power heated mirror w/puddle

The two later ones look the same but the groove is different. one is slotted at 3 oclock and the other 5 oclock .. you can shave it but it isn't exactly plug and play. if you want to add heated mirror and the connector is slotted different then that means the wire was never there to give it power.
