Hi, my 13 explorers heated seats were working fine up till last week and all the sudden now neither of my front heated seats work I was just hoping for some help before I took it to Ford garage and get ripped off, I checked fuses under the hood and they were good... Just wondering if there was something else I should try, thanks for your time

Did u check the fuse panel under the dash?

I did not check that one I will do that in the morning, is the fuse locations for that one in the owners manual?

I just checked the engine and cabin fuse panels in the Owner's Manual and found only one fuse, #28 (30A) in the engine bay panel for "Climate controlled seats".

If fuse #28 mentioned above is good then you have another problem somewhere.

I have the same issue. did you find out what the issue is or was? Mine just stopped working. were fine on the way to work and now no heat and the blower under seat comes on for few seconds then stops. seems the same on both front seats

Have you checked the fuse? Fuse #28 - Climate Control Seats. It's in the engine bay fuse box.

yes. no problem there.

Our drive'sr heated seat stopped working the same time our BLIS started acting up. Resetting Sync solved both issues. Good luck.

2016 XLT. It has the heat only front seats. Neither of them work, I checked them with an inferred thermometer after noticing they weren't putting out any heat. Checked the underhood fuse, looks good. where do I go to next to troubleshoot?

No warranty left I'm guessing? Not sure if the solution in post #9 would work for you. Is there any indication that the switch is working?

Peter

Switches light up. I've got warranty yet, didn't know what else I should try before taking it in.

Do the switches light up like they should work? If so there is a computer (box) under the passenger seat that the controls go thru. On the F150's they have been know to burn out a pin on the connector. I have a similar but different issue, my explorer has the heated rear buckets, for both seats when you press the heated seat button the button flashes and that is it. The seats dont heat up, the same for both the rear seats.

Seems to me I've read of that problem before here somewhere. Have you checked fuse #5 in the cabin fuse panel?

Peter

Peter, Thanks ill look into that, I wasn't sure if it would be a fuse as there is power to the switch since the light flashes on the heated seat buttons, but it is odd that both seats do the exact same thing so it doesn't seem like it would be a faulty heater element. Could be a bad wire someplace, knowing the dealership I bought it from they probably screwed something up when putting the rear center console in. Once it gets warmer ill need to dig into it more, luckily the seats fold up so getting under them should be easy.
